Patients Bill of Rights
As a patient at the Student Health Service, you have the right:
To be treated with respect, courtesy and dignity
To have privacy and assurance that confidentiality will be respected
To choose a provider who will help you make informed decisions
To have a friend or advocate present if so desired
To discuss alternative procedures, treatments and costs
To refuse treatment and/or get a second opinion
To use administrative and student advocate (SHAC) channels to express concerns and make suggestions about service received
