SHACS Eating Disorder Task Force

Who we are. What we do.

The Eating Disorder Task Force is a collaborative effort by Monsour Counseling and Psychological Services (MCAPS), Student Health Services (SHS), and Health Education Outreach (HEO) to provide resources and direct services to students struggling with eating disorders.

Our vision is to ethically assess, evaluate, monitor, manage, and support students with identified eating disorders, disordered eating habits, and body image concerns through a collaborative multidisciplinary task force.

Our mission is two-fold:

  1. Support students with direct services and provide appropriate referrals to enhance their psychological well-being and physical health, and
  2. Provide education consultation, awareness, and outreach services to students, faculty, and staff at The Claremont Colleges

Services we provide*

*We are NOT a treatment team but we collaborate to determine appropriate level of care and provide referrals or provide brief individual therapy, nutritional assessment, and health monitoring when suitable and within the scope of our practice.
