General Information
The CUC SARS Update is designed to provide information to students of The Claremont Colleges regarding our response protocols and to give you important guidance if you have concerns regarding this disease.

Travel
If you intend to travel to a SARS-affected area, please refer to the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC) guidelines at the following http://www.cdc.gov/ncidod/sars/travel_advice.htm .
The CDC has useful suggestions safeguarding your health while you travel, and information on what you should do after your return.

Arrival from a SARS-affected area

What You Should Do
 
No Symptoms 1. Remain vigilant for symptoms (including fever, chills,cough,shortness of breath or difficulty breathing) within the 10 days following your arrival.

2. You do not need to restrict your activities.

3. Refers to the CDC guidelines for further information.

4. There are no plans to quarantine healthy individuals arriving from SARS-affected areas.
 
Signs of illness, including fever (>100.4 F), chills, cough, difficulty breathing or shortness of breath Refer to the CDC guidelines for examples of SARS
symptoms and what you need to do to monitor your health status.

If there are clear signs of SARS symptoms contact the
