| General Information
The CUC SARS Update is designed to provide information to faculty
and staff of The Claremont Colleges regarding our response
protocols and to give you important guidance if you have concerns regarding
this disease.
Travel
If you intend to travel to a SARS-affected area, please refer to the Centers
for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC) guidelines at the following http://www.cdc.gov/ncidod/sars/travel_advice.htm.
The CDC has useful suggestions safeguarding your health while you travel,
and information on what you should do after your return.
Arrival from a SARS-affected area
If you have just returned from a SARS-affected area, we advise that you
adhere to the following procedures:

| No Symptoms |
1. Remain vigilant for symptoms (including fever, chills,
cough, shortness of breath or difficulty breathing) within the 10
days following your arrival.
2. Resume duties as normal, if you do not have any signs of SARS-related
symptoms.
3. Refer to CDC suggestions and guidelines on precautionary measures
and further information on arrival from a SARS-affected area.

| Signs of illness, including fever
(>100.4 F), chills, cough, difficulty breathing or shortness of
breath |
1. If you develop signs of SARS contact your physician
immediately. Alternatively you could call the following numbers:

2. Follow the instructions of your physician.
