UTILITY & MACHINE SHOPS

The Utility Shop provides a number of key services and also supports the other CFS Shops.  Some of the many services that this shop provides include:

• Collection and disposal of refuse (where conventional trash pickup is not possible)
• Pick-up and delivery of material and supplies
• Moving of furniture and equipment throughout campus
• Support for special events
• Excavation, shoring and backfilling for utilities (gas, water, electric, etc.)
• Cleaning of sumps, drains and gutters
• Heavy equipment operation (backhoe, cranes, etc.) and rigging
• Miscellaneous site concrete
• ADA ramps

The Machine Shop provides maintenance and repair of CFS vehicles & equipment, as well as support to the other shops.  Some of the services provided include:

• Inspection and diagnosis of miscellaneous equipment and machinery
• Repair and replacement of engines, transmissions, differentials, clutches, etc.
• Repair and replacement of pumps, compressors, motors.
• Custom fabrication of machined parts
• Metal cutting, welding, and fabrication
• Maintenance & repair of electric carts and landscaping equipment (lawn mowers, etc.)
