Manager: John Moe
FMCS Programmer: Frank Keating
The FMCS department is responsible for developing and maintaining the Direct Digital Control systems in over 100 buildings throughout The Claremont College campus. The FMCS department works closely with the Electrical, HVAC, and Heating & Plumbing Shops to ensure reliable equipment and FMCS operations. To enhance the campus wide DDC system, a unique, customized web interface was developed by the FMCS department to allow facility personnel from each College to access and schedule the operations of their respective facilities.
In addition to maintaining the DDC systems, the FMCS department supports the CFS Work Order system. This system, which was originally a client server application, has been modified by the FMCS department to allow access via a customized web interface. This system is used throughout the Colleges for submitting work requested and accessing a variety of information.
CFS computer applications and support, database management, data backup & recovery, and applications development also fall under the responsibility of the FMCS department.
