Settings for "Hands-Free" Usage
To set the phone up to be used as a "Hands-Free" unit, begin by pressing "Feature + 1" to activate the microphone. Verify the microphone activated by looking at the microphone indicator light located on the lower right front corner of the phone. The indicator light will be lit when microphone is activated.
Next, press "Feature + 5" to activate "Hands-free". "Hands-Free On" will briefly display in the display window.
To place your call, press the "Speaker" key for dial tone and dial the number for the party. At the conclusion of your call, press the "Speaker" key to disconnect. Remember that the handset may be lifted at any time during a "Hands-Free" call to disconnect the microphone and speaker. The "Hands-Free" settings are still activated for the next call.
