General Information

Feature keys and function keys are used to program the phone or functions may be programmed manually.  When a feature is active, it will flash in the display screen and the indicator light will be on.  When a feature is not active, it will not flash in the display screen and the indicator light will be off.

The display screen will only display three set features at one time.  For example, if you program your pone forward busy, forward no-answer, and forward-all to voice mail, the display window will show these settings.  If you then activate your microphone, "MIC" will not be displayed.  You will know your microphone is on because the indicator light in the lower right corner will be lit.

The key on the lower right of the phone that has an up arrow and a down arrow DOES NOT TURN THE MICROPHONE ON AND OFF.  If the speaker is on, this key will raise and lower the volume of the speaker.  If the speaker is off, this key will change the contrast in the display screen.

If callers dial your extension and your voice mail does not pick-up, THIS DOES NOT MEAN YOUR MAILBOX IS GONE OR BROKEN.  When this happens, your extension has been unforwarded from the voice mail system.  Simply re-forward your extension to voice mail by pressing "#01 18555".  Voice mail will then pick-up if your phone is not answered within three rings.  To set your extension "Forward All" or "Forward Busy" to voice mail, use the programmable keys.

Help - To use the "Help" key, activate a feature so that it flashes in the display screen.  Press the "Help" key, and then press the "Soft Key" beneath the flashing feature.  The soft keys are the gray triangle shaped keys located at the top of the phone between the "Exit" key and the "Help" key.  Information about the selected feature will then display on the screen.  Press the "Exit" key to the left of the soft keys to exit.

DND - Activating the "Do Not Disturb" feature will prevent your prime extension from ringing.  If you press the soft key beneath "DND", you will see "DND SET" displayed briefly on the screen.  When this feature is set, callers to your extension will receive a busy tone.  You can make out-going calls when this feature is set.  If you have more than one extension on your phone, "DND" only responds with a busy tone when callers dial your prime extension.  If you set "DND" on a non-prime extension, callers will be routed to your number, however your phone will only flash, it will not ring.  FORWARD-ALL TO VOICE MAIL OVERRIDES DND.  Callers will be routed to your mailbox instead of hearing a busy signal.
