Essential Functions:
Administer a comprehensive academic program to students of African descent. Some of these programs include: tutorial services, study circle and writing programs, skill enhancement workshops, and providing support and advocacy including education and outreach.
Develop and coordinate career planning activities, including the Career Resource Library and serves as a liaison to the Career Planning Offices of the various The Claremont Colleges.
Coordinate the Alumni Mentoring program.

Write and edit the OBSA monthly newsletter.

Position Summary: Under the general supervision of the Captain and/or Director of Campus Safety, the Sergeant supervises staff assigned to field patrol or general administrative staff work, such as research, analysis, data entry, and report writing. This position has direct or indirect supervision over patrol officers, communication officers, reserve officers, surveillance operators and student reserve officers in the performance of their duties and ensures their adherence to departmental requirements. Work is subject to periodic checks and may be reviewed by a superior through reports, consultation and observation.
Position Type and Compensation: This is a full time (40 hours per week), exempt, benefits-eligible position, with a varying work schedule. Starting salary will be commensurate with qualifications; minimum is $3,367/month.
Essential Functions:
Supervises scheduled staff by assigning patrol schedules and areas; relays and explains written/oral directives, and information; provides advice and assistance on patrol, crime prevention or investigation matters.
Conducts internal investigations into customer complaints and inquiries.
Provides daily in-service training to subordinates; receives and reviews written reports submitted by subordinates for completeness and accuracy.
