To be eligible for holiday pay you must be in working/paid status the last scheduled workday before, and the first scheduled workday immediately after the holiday. Should non-exempt employees have to work on any of the holidays listed above, they will be given alternative time off at the rate of 1 ½ hours for each holiday hour worked. This time must be used prior to the end of the next pay period and approved by the supervisor. If such time off cannot be granted, you will be paid time-and-a-half for the holiday hours worked in addition to your holiday pay. Exempt employees who are required to work on a holiday receive an alternative day off.
