• Hero Afterschool Program: Tutor and mentor children at a local school.
            Frequency: Every day

• Pomona Partners: Work at Fremont Middle School
            Frequency: Friday afternoons

Tutoring @ LAC: Tutor local high school students.  There is a particular need for math tutors.

SOVA Trips: Help with stocking and distribution at local food bank.

Reading to Kids: Help build a love of reading with underserved LA school children.

Trail Restoration: Help remove a tree which is blocking the Chapman Trail in beautiful Mt. Baldy.

• The Community Tutoring program at Scripps is still looking for more tutors!  Any 5c student with work-study is eligible.  Work with the "Bright Prospects" program at a local Pomona high school, 1-2 times a week.  For more information, please email Marla at Mlove@scrippscollege.edu Posted 10/10

• The Boys and Girls Club of Pomona is in need of volunteers for their Education Center.  Tutors in all disciplines are needed, but math tutors are in particularly high demand.  Bilingual is a plus, but not a requirement.  Students are primarily between ages of 6-12.  The Center is open from Monday through Thursday, from 4-6 pm.  Tutor schedules are very flexible, from once a week to even once a month.  To sign-up or FMI, please contact Heather Williams at 909-963-8538.  Posted 9/27
