During that time she assisted hundreds of clients, including many of The Claremont Colleges' faculty and staff, purchase and sell homes, businesses, commercial properties, and income investments. She has also been involved with the purchase and management of rental properties, real estate contracts, escrow, loan processes and real estate law. In addition to her real estate background, Katherine worked for eighteen years in retail marketing and management, including financial and personnel management and development. Katherine's experience in business and real estate serve as a strong foundation for her role as Director of Real Estate and Housing Services for the Claremont University Consortium.

Katherine has made a unique contribution to the Claremont community through the foundation of her own Senior Assist business, established to voluntarily assist seniors with managing a myriad of financial and real estate-oriented tasks. She continues to assist seniors at the Claremont retirement facilities. She is currently on the Board of Directors of Pilgrim Place.
