Darlinda Nuby was appointed to the position of Administrator of Human Resources effective January 1, 2010. The Administrator of Human Resources for CUC is responsible for the management and implementation of all HR services provided to CUC management and staff, providing leadership in supporting CUC's mission as a service organization and aligning HR goals with CUC's goals. The HR Administrator position also serves as a member of the Human Resources Committee of The Claremont Colleges, working collaboratively with the HR directors at the seven Claremont Colleges. The Administrator of Human Resources is a member of CUC's Management Staff and reports directly to the Chief Administrative Officer of The Claremont University Consortium.
Darlinda started her career in human resources and has held leadership positions in various size service industry companies for over 20 years including hospitality, industrial medicine and as an entrepreneur, Darlinda built and managed her own human resource consulting business where she specialized in management education and development in labor relations, employee relations; employee counseling, conducting personnel investigations, grievance issues and customer service training. She started her and has been working in higher education for almost 10 years. Starting her career with CUC as Assistant Director of Human Resources, Darlinda has achieved a record of accomplishments, including improved departmental and interdepartmental communications as well as ensuring that as a part of CUC's strategic processes and goals The Office of Human Resources functions as vital role of CUC.
Darlinda received a professional designation of Professional in Human Resources (PHR) through the Society for Human Resource Management / HR Certification Institute, Human Resource Management Certification as well as a variety of assessment tools and program facilitation in the human resources profession. She has been active in community organizations including the Rancho Cucamonga Chamber of Commerce and the Riverside Chamber of Commerce. Some of her active memberships include the California Chamber of Commerce, College and Professional Association - Human Resource (CUPA-HR), Society for Human Resources Management (SHRM) and Professionals in Human Resources Association (PIHRA).
