James Dunkelman
Treasurer, Controller and Director of Financial Services
 
 
Jim Dunkelman brings 14 years of professional experience to his position as treasurer of Claremont University Consortium, controller for seven entities within The Claremont Colleges group and director of Financial Services. The Financial Services office team provides controllership, accounting and related support services to Claremont University Consortium, Claremont Graduate University, Scripps College, Claremont McKenna College, Harvey Mudd College, Pitzer College and Keck Graduate Institute of Applied Life Sciences. Claremont University Consortium is the central coordinating organization for The Claremont Colleges and provides 29 support services including fund raising, the library system, student health and counseling centers, minority student services, a bookstore, business services, physical plant support functions, and a performing arts center. He also recently began teaching a college and university accounting course for the Western Association of College and University Business Officers (WACUBO).
 
Mr. Dunkelman was formerly with the accounting firm of PricewaterhouseCoopers LLP where he served in the higher education, manufacturing and petroleum industry groups. He received a Bachelor of Science degree in Business Administration from California State University, Los Angeles and is a Certified Public Accountant in the State of California. Additionally, he holds active membership in the American Institute of Certified Public Accountants.
